Yesterday’s Video Listerine was so sublime it got only one comment. Well, today we will shift gears and go from the sublime to the deliciously funny and absurd.

In the spirit of those wacky and wonderful commercials that are part of the reason people endure a stupid football game, I offer these spots for Outpost.com that appeared some years ago. I still believe they are among the funniest, most creative ads I’ve ever seen.

What makes the first ad so funny is the fact that the band is playing “When the Saints Come Marching In” - a song always associated with New Orleans which is going to get creamed today (sorry, Tara Sue). slaughter the Colts. (Way to go, Tara Sue!)

You can the just imagine the howls of protest from the fudge-packing demographic that comprises San Fran Nan’s constituency when they got wind of this. A live gerbil, after all, is a terrible sex toy to waste.

Last - but certainly not least - there is this gem:

Admittedly, I have not seen any really good commercials for Fry’s. Not yet, anyway.
