Training Our Own Executioners
It’s like a bad dream. You know the kind I’m talking about: in the dream everything good is bad and everyone good is evil and the whole world is upside down - sort of like the Democrat Party only not as laughably stupid.

The American military now openly admits providing military training to Palestinian military forces.
A U.S. military official, Lt. Gen. Keith Dayton, assigned by the United States to be a “security coordinator,” has been appointed to train 1,500 Palestinian military personnel. They will be available for “immediate deployment” in the area between Jenin and Nablus, less than an hour from Israel’s populated coastal plain.
He discussed his mission at the Washington Institute for Near East Studies last week.
Lt. Gen. Dayton said: “We also have something in our pocket called the West Bank Training Initiative where we have plans to continue a series of courses in the West Bank on logistics, leadership, first aid, maintenance, English language, battalion staff training and driver education. These are led by our British and Turkish officers with an eye to eventually turning this over to the Palestinians themselves.”
The premise behind American military aid to the Palestinian Authority’s (PA) military forces is the hope the American-trained Palestinian personnel will fight Hamas.
However, the training of Palestinian military units by U.S. advisers is taking place at the same time the PA is negotiating to join forces with the Hamas terrorist organization, which rules Gaza.
All indications show the PA is making every effort to co-opt and include Hamas in its military forces for joint operations against Israel.
Were that to happen, American military advisers and their Palestinian trainees would be placed into direct confrontation with the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) and with the Israeli population.
Despite assurances to the contrary, the Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO), the parent organization of the PA, remains in a state of war with Israel.
To reassure the Washington Institute, Lt. Gen. Dayton downplayed the dangers of the training that the Americans are providing the Palestinians, by saying that “Our equipping is all nonlethal …”
In essence, my friends, the U.S. is training fanatical Islamists in the finer points of warfare. You don’t for one second believe these coconuts are going to use their training to kill each other, do you? Pam Geller at Atlas Shrugs sums it up far better than I ever could:

If we can’t come right out at say that POTUS is an Islamic sympathizer, can we at least admit that he leans toward the Islamic side in their conflict with Israel? And now this yutz is having our military train enemy sypathizers? Oy Vey!

My only question is: Will Joe Biden be among these advisers?
Because if not, then he should be.

Well, the PA was fighting Hamas at one point.
There is also an extent to which the kind of anti-insurgency training that would be useful against Hamas would not be particularly effective against the Israelis (not sure how far that goes, though). On the plus side, it means we could tell the Israelis exactly how they were trained (provided P.BO actually would).
Was this thing started up by Obama or by Bush?
The unmitigated gall of PBO who IS a MUSLIM is just astonishing! I am quite disturbed by his cavalier attitude or outright hostility to Israel…He obviously doesn’t care nor does he want Israel to survive….God help us!
Let’s be realistic. We have been supporting Israel for decades more than generously. We might as well work with the Palestinians. Also, don’t be naive thinking that we are sending our military there without Israeli approval. Secondly and equally important, you know that there is not going to be a peace in the Middle East without Palestinian statehood. Please accept it and move on.
As someone who has regularly traveled to Israel and Palestine and heard both sides, and saw the atrocities of this conflict I can tell you that Israel is not as innocent as portrayed. When was the last time you saw any Palestinian Arab or even Hamas sympathizer telling their side of the story?
