The Pathology of the Rich Socialist

george_sorosEver wonder what drives wealthy liberals to attack the very system that made them wealthy? Of course you have. Any thinking, rational, informed person would wonder because such behavior makes absolutely no sense. Thus the spectacle of Michael Moore - a film maker who became fabulously wealthy thanks to the free market - whose latest “documentary” mounts a vicious assault on…the free market.

Then there is the real world’s answer to Michael Myers’ hilarious Dr. Evil: George Soros, a multi-billionaire currency trader who is the undisputed Capo de Papa Sucri for just about every left-wing, hate-America organization in this country. I took a stab at deconstructing the insanity and sheer evil that is George Soros back in March. Now it’s time for Selwyn Duke to take a crack at it.

Duke begins his article by first discussing the radically different world views of liberals and conservatives. He correctly notes - backed up by empirical data that confirms what so many of us can attest to anecdotally - that liberals are, by and large, the greedy, materialistic, selfish, envious emotional trolls they routinely accuse conservatives of being. Psychological projection has become part and parcel of the liberal psyche, so much so that we are surprised if they do not engage in projection.

Using envy as a springboard, Duke dives into the murky waters that comprise the pathology of the liberal mind to get a better understanding of what makes the liberal clock strike Noon when it’s actually 3 o’clock in the morning.

Additionally, Schweizer reports on studies showing that Leftists are the embodiment of envy. This finding should come as no surprise, despite liberals’ propensity to rail against the rich and preach redistribution of wealth. Because, you see, it’s not that they care about the downtrodden so much — it’s just that they’re just insanely jealous of those who have more than they do.

But what about advocating socialism? Why would these greedy leftists try to kill the goose that lays the golden eggs they crave? To understand this, we have to delve into the psychology of vice.

There is a chasm between the heart and head. It is one thing to know something is wrong; it’s quite another to feel it on an emotional level. This is probably why Confucius once said (I’m paraphrasing), “It is not that I do not know what to do; it is that I do not do what I know.” The heart is both a terrible master and a terribly alluring one, as its fires so often trump the head’s cool logic. It is the demagogue of the mind’s elections, whose rhetoric is hard to resist because it just feels so right.

So very true. It’s the sad, tragic story of fallen humanity and I can think of few humans who have fallen lower than true-blooded, dyed-in-the-wool liberals. Not that we could ever impart this wisdom to them, of course, as it would be as easy and effective as trying to convince a lunatic who thinks he’s sane that he is, in fact, nutty as a fruitcake. The problem for conservatives is that liberals are not content until they destroy everything around them and then ascend the rubble to proclaim themselves monarchs of the rubble. To this end they devote their energy with the sort of tireless fanaticism one sees, for example, among Jihadist Mohammedans.

While there was a time when the inherent reluctance of conservatives to engage liberals in pitched verbal battle often gave liberals an advantage in the public forum, this is no longer the case. You can push a conservative only so far before he pushes back and the recent ascendancy of the liberal agenda in the persons of Barack Obama and the Democrat-controlled Congress have catalyzed just such a response in the form of Tea Parties, town halls, rallies and protests that, a year and a half ago, would have been unthinkable.

It’s clear that Soros sees our free-market system as an evil, much like the Nazi system whose death camps he eluded. And I wouldn’t be surprised if, just as when he was 14, Soros sees himself as a victim caught in its web (the difference is that in 1944, he actually was a victim, whereas now he is the spider). If he doesn’t rape the system, someone else will. Yet he is a victim only of his own greed.

Taking this a bit deeper, it’s much like someone in the grip of any vice. It’s like a man who just cannot resist the bottle and gets falling-down drunk. He may sometimes have moments of clarity during which he actually hates his vice — and he may start to hate alcohol itself. At these times he may wish it didn’t exist, for then the temptation wouldn’t be there. But as long as it does exist, he can’t help but partake.

George Soros is a greedy man. Because of this, he cannot be “free” of his vice until the opportunity to make money is gone. He cannot retire, cannot rest, as long as there is another dollar to be made in the evil system. He wishes his “bottle” didn’t exist, but as long as it does, he can’t help but partake. Thus does he want Profit Prohibition.

An interesting analysis, but I’m not sure that avarice alone is the motivating factor. I see it more as a symptom of an underlying pathology than the disease itself. In this respect, Duke has it backward: a man may become an alcoholic and then later in life come to hate the alcohol because of his dependence upon it, but the alcohol itself - obviously - is not the cause of his alcoholism, just as Soros’ greed is not the cause of his greed, nor will it somehow dissipate if the opportunity to make money vanishes. Take away alcohol and an alcoholic does not cease to be an alcoholic.

His pathology goes deeper than that and its roots go deeper still from the soil of the subconscious into the bedrock of the soul. I averred to this in the post I published in March titled “The Real Satanists,” there I made the case for a psycho-spiritual pathology, inspired largely by an excellent article in American Thinker by Kyle-Anne Shiver:

Soros has made no bones about his hatred for the United States - the most openly religious nation in the non-Muslim world. He is, unsurprisingly, the sugar daddy for many - if not most - of the extremist anti-American left-wing political and social activist groups in the U.S. today - all of which are united in their support of Barack Obama and his agenda of political, economic and social transmogrification of our nation from a free-enterprise republic into a national socialist oligarchy.

In spite of the enormous wealth he has accumulated as the result of the free market, George Soros despises the free market insofar as those whom he despises can benefit from it. Soros despises freedom and the intrinsic worth of all humans. Ultimately, he despises God.

Apparently, it does boil down ultimately to those who believe in God - or at least in the intrinsic dignity and worth of all human beings - versus those who do not. George Soros is characteristic of the latter and represents liberalism at its most extreme and, unquestionably, its most hideous.

  1. Yes, Pathology seems to be the key word here.

It’s no small feat of bravery to enter the mind of Lucifer, but I must say that post was worth it.

  2. James 1:8 he is a double-minded man, unstable in all he does.

I have often wondered why people like him hate the very system that made them successful.

I also wonder why people like the the Kennedy’s, et.al., hide their own wealth in tax shelters while voting for tax hikes for the rest of us poor, crawling worms.

  3. He is the Puppet Master.

  4. Yes he is, KJ, yes he is!!!!

Well done Manly…..good to see you back.

Been catching up on all the posts….Oh, Charlotte! By any chance, were you born with combat boots on? LOL You are hot!
It’s obvious that Obama has not met you personally. I’d pay to watch that exchange.

  5. I really liked the analysis. The way these liberal tycoons act reminds me of the bratty child that gets everything his heart can desire, but wants something else and his mother won’t let him have it. He then curses and hits at his mother. It is beyond his thought process that she gave him life and every other thing his heart desired.

  6. I often wonder why rich liberals who made their money in the free market hate captialism. I think part of it is, they made their money, and they cannot stand it if anyone else makes money. So they have to destroy the wealth building system of capitalism so no one else can get up there with them. Kick the ladder down, so to speak.
There is a special place in Hell for Herr Soros.

  7. There is a chemical difference in the brains of a Conservative and a Liberal. And those brains that you posted while funny and hanging on my frig are true. I do not believe i organ donation but would be willing to donate my brain to science for a study if it can be compared to a Liberal brain. There is a dysfunction there. A disconnect. I am and always have be convinced of this.

  8. You need a really, REALLY powerful microscope to study the Liberal brain–even just to FIND it.

  9. Bumper-sticker worthy: Liberals are not content until they destroy everything around them and then ascend the rubble to proclaim themselves monarchs of the rubble.

And I laughed out loud at what makes the liberal clock strike Noon when it’s actually 3 o’clock in the morning!

  10. Thank you for the analysis. I think it is important to remember that liberals are not stupid, but incredibly misguided. It is not that Soros (the human palindrome) wakes up every day and thinks how he can screw the system - on the contrary he wakes up every day with the zeal of the righteous, that he among a very few, can see the ‘true’ way things should be.

His success, he believes, is evidence that he ‘knows’ what is right. And that is why he is so frightening.

Perhaps the greatest difference between liberals and conservatives in the modern world is that liberals (or as they now try to be called, progressives) want to tell other people how to live their lives.

Despite much talk about everybody doing their own thing they want to impose their will on others. They, and they alone, know how much money is adequate, how much consumption is acceptable, where one should live (town not suburb), what car to drive (anything not North American), where to holiday and so on.

A useful view into their minds is given by the book ‘What White People Like’ - it makes a sickening, but enjoyable read.

  11. Thank you for the analysis. I think it is important to remember that liberals are not stupid, but incredibly misguided.

Um……….no, Ellen. They are not misguided. They are evil. And they must be destroyed.

  12. Wow you’re a sick douchebag unsigned author of this trash.
I loled, but damn u are sick.
    Get some help dude.

  13. people quoting the bible…hahahahahah

  14. this partisan bs is out of hand…jesus…its not a fucking game

  15. Great article, Moore and Soros are people who have been given great gifts that enable the chosen few to excel in the free market world and foolishly spurn those very gifts! It is almost as if they believe those gifts weren’t God given and that everyone should be receive the same opportunities. If people in positions of power can’t use their God given advantages to succeed to the detriment of others, then what is the point of God bestowing such gifts?

  16. Um……….no, Ellen. They are not misguided. They are evil. And they must be destroyed.

    I fear for our country.

  17. Somewhere along the line you have confused the concept of proving a proposition with the art of circular logic.

  18. Your blog is aptly named. According to dictionary.com, rash is defined as “acting or tending to act too hastily or without due consideration.” Given your logic here, I think that’s an adequate description of your process.

  19. I’m a socialist and it may surprise you that I agree. Man will act in his own self interest to the determent of the common good. Therefore, he is the last person who should be making his own decisions. Someone else who can see the forest for the trees must make them for him. And in turn, that person must not make decisions for HIMself.

For example, I love meat. I think that humans have an instinctive love and need for it. I envy the vegan. Meat is bad. Bad for me, bad for the environment, and obviously cruel to animals. It is barbaric. But me stopping, even if I could, would not mean that everyone would. Therefore, we need to outlaw meat. It’s the RIGHT thing to do. You know it deep down. So put the Vegans in charge in this area. Let them make the laws. I cannot stop, so someone must stop me. And I will be better off for it.

This is the key to socialism - the need of the many and the elimination of the individual. That day will come, and we will have the world that John Lennon imagined.

Your logic makes me want to puke. I, for one, will never give up my right to choose my lot in life nor render any decision making regarding the same to anyone. That loud sound you hear is the tsunami of people, who like me, will be out to kick all your asses come Nov of 2010. Enjoy it while you can.

  21. Crime,

It’s not about you. You don’t matter. You’re like a willful child stamping his foot “me me me me me”. Mommy and daddy will send you to your room till you behave.

  22. dean on December 25, 2009 at 2:08 pm

The only deluded child around here is you. As Lady Thatcher said, “The problem with Socialism is that you eventually run out of other people’s money”.

  23. I take that back. Some of the other children that are home for Christmas have found their way to this website.

  24. Thatcher was a selfish twat.

And some day, they’ll be no countries, no religion, a world socialist state, and camps for people like you. It’s inevitable. 300 years from now people will scoff at the idea of living like tribes with borders and a belief in mystical beings. You’re so over. America will fall, all nations will fall. Suckers.

Not quite. You see, we own all the guns, Deano. And from my vantage point, you have a bullseye on your back.

Start running, boy…and hope to the Marxist gods you worship that you can hide.

  26. Dean is telling us to prepare to be assimilated… like the borg on Star Trek - Next Generation. Dean says that the concept of the individual is being out-moded in favor of collectivism. Dean’s response is the most direct statement of the goals of these Statist powermongers.

Dean is wrong. The individual spirit is strong in this country.

Dean envisions “camps for people like you”. Wow - now tell me what part of the Constitution provides for THAT little piece of work.

    clyderichard2 on December 25, 2009 at 6:56 PM
  27. One more thought: PLEASE, Beck, O’Reilly, and any one else advocating splintering the Republican party - read the rantings of lefty nutjobs like Dean above, and understand that if you split the opposition to their agenda into two camps, they will win and proceed to put fences around both camps.

United we stand, divided we fall.

    clyderichard2 on December 25, 2009 at 6:59 PM
  28. Not to worry Manly, if and when it comes to armed revolution, Dean and his ilk will be found hiding under their beds in the fetal position. Dean, I don’t feed trolls.

  29. Trolls on Christmas?!?!?

Well someone’s nice Mommy got them a a real computer. Did you get a new pair of footy pajamas, too?

  30. In the final analysis, I believe the answer is power.

These men and women who sneer at the people of ability do so because they believe that attitude shows them to be superior. When they claim to be better than the truly capable people, then, to the ears of all who will listen, they are. Even worse, since they know that they are rotten in soul, that proves to them that the world is corrupt and people who play by the rules (any rules) are suckers.

    And because it works.

We are so inculcated in a culture of guilt that we accept every criticism from any source, finding fault in ourselves with every new grievance laid at our door.

It’s a jujitsu move on the Christian ethic. “Judge not…”, “Turn the other cheek…”, “Sooner a rich man…”. The entire moral code becomes a weapon in the hands of these parasites. They wave the banner of “Moral Hypocrisy” in the face of every steadfast citizen and use our decency as a cudgel. We are “two-faced” if we are not charitable to the slime and lice who have no morals at all.
