While it is true that, in the addled mind of Vice-President  Joe “Gaffemeister JB” Biden - arguably the stupidest man ever to serve a heartbeat away from the office of President - nothing he says is meant to be laughed at (unless he means for people to laugh at it, in which case he flashes that broad Polident smile we’ve all come to dread) the fact remains that most of what he utters is, in fact. laugh-worthy.

His latest utterance is funny not so much because it is stupid or untrue but rather the opposite and laughs come from the fact he is somberly declaring - with the confident air of authority one ordinarily finds in the Delphic Oracle - what any 10 year old who listens to Rush Limbaugh already has figured out.

Vice President Joe Biden said today that if Democrats were to lose 35 House seats they currently hold in traditionally Republican districts, it would mean doomsday for President Obama’s agenda.

Biden said Republicans are pinning their political strategy on flipping these seats.

“If they take them back, this the end of the road for what Barack and I are trying to do,” the vice president said at a fundraiser for Rep. Gabrielle Giffords (D-AZ) today in Greenville, Delaware.

Gee…ya think, JB? The man is a genius, folks…a true master of the obvious.

Republicans need to pick up 40 seats next November to take back control of the House.

There are 49 seats currently held by Democrats in districts that Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz) won in last year’s presidential election.

Biden said these House seats are Republicans “one shot” at breaking the Obama administration’s agenda. But if Democrats can hold on to those seats, “the dam is going to break,” he said, and a new era of bipartisanship will begin.

What I enjoy most about this is the frank admission is that if Republicans regain control of the House, the Obama administration is up Fecal Creek sans propulsion. Thing is, at the rate the administration and the Democrat Congress are heading, the electorate is going to be in a far uglier mood six months from now than Biden can imagine.

“All the hidden Republicans that don’t have the courage to vote the way they want to vote because of pressure from the party … it will break the dam and you will see bipartisanship,” Biden said.

Then, with a sudden *snort* the Gaffemeister awoke and realized it was all a dream.

The Democrat Party and the Obama administration are both headed for a political trainwreck of historical proportions. I, for one, can’t wait to see it.
