RIP, Jack
On February 3 I reported that Congressman Jack Murtha of Pennsylvania was in the ICU in the wake of complications after gall bladder surgery. Today he is dead.
Murtha, as you might recall, was one of the corrupt politicos who almost - but not quite - accepted a bribe in the ABSCAM scandal back in the 70s. Murtha was the corrupt Democrat who funneled billions of dollars to defense contractors and an airport that nobody uses in his home state. Murtha was the Congressman who accused the Haditha Marines (who have since been acquitted) of committing murder in cold blood and has yet to apologize to any of them for his slander. Murtha voted in favor of every element of Obama’s socialist agenda, including the Porkulus, TARP II, Cap & Trade and ObamaCare.
I observed that his death would be most unfortunate and certainly tragic - for his family. I also noted that his Republican opponent in the upcoming November election would win handily and that we must pray very hard.
Apparently, some prayers do get answered.
I didn’t want it answered this way.
I didn’t like Murtha much. But, I never wanted evil to happen to him.
May his family find peace. I genulinely wish his family well. They were not politicians, and I am sure they loved him as he loved them.
May the United States also find some peace now that there is one less socialist in the House.
I feel bad for his family.
For us and the welfare of this country..not so much.
Frankly, the news delighted me. Murtha was a scumbag of the first order.
Don’t forget that this nation is at war with itself - a cold war for the moment, but one that will likely become a shooting war in a couple of years. In a war for existential survival, one had better learn that it makes no sense to take prisoners.
The days of bipartisan courtesy and civility are over. The days of turning the other political cheek and proving how much “classier” we are have done nothing but brought us to brink of ruin.
These liberal statists are pure evil and they must be destroyed. Whenever any one of them croaks I raise my glass in celebration.

Murtha was a disgusting piece of garbage. I for one will not shed even one PC croc drop.
To all those who pity and mourn him, never forget that this SOB tried with everything he had to crucify those Marines.
These people would say the same for Adolph, were he to die today.

Breitbart has a story saying that Murtha’s large intestine was damaged during his gall bladder surgery resulting in an infection…which in turn caused his death…
Ladies and Gentlemen … we cannot lose focus of our goals and we cannot lose focus on our morals either. That is what separates us from the statists, they have little morals, they have no moral statute other than their ideology, which we know is flawed.
They would love to see us become divided because of minor differences. Don’t give them any ground.

Yes, Murtha was the lowest form of politician known to man. He called his fellow Marines murderers and rapists. He has answered for that now to the One we will all have to answer to. Condolences to his wife of 55 years and his family and fervent prayers that his now empty seat will be filled by a Conservative.
