  1. We are stuck with neither…

  2. Zealots to the left of me, neuticle recipients trying to be on the right…and me without a truck needing a bed liner

  3. Meanwhile our heroine in Alaska is reporting via her twitter account: http://www.twitter.com/AKGovSarahPalin

    That:

AGIA is working just as intended. AK Gasline moves closer to reality every day. Already historic progress, w/2 projects pre-filing w/FERC.

What this means is that the plentiful natural gas in AK will be piped to the lower 48 states and we can run ALL of our semi-trucks - as well as our cars - on natural gas, thereby eliminating diesel smog and our dependence on foreign oil (thereby eliminating the terrorist sponsoring regime funding by default).

Sarah has done in a few short years what corrupt politicians couldn’t do for 30+ years - breaking the strangle hold of corruption and political stalling on the natural gas pipeline!!

    As well as:

DOJ announces wish to release Pete Kott & Vic Kohring, claims trials tainted by prosecution.

    Here’s the link.

I wonder why? These are (some of) the corrupt bastards that helped stall this pipeline for 30 years!!

Is Obama trying to throw a wrench into this process in order to forestall a formidable foe in 2012?

  4. A stateman, in my humble opinion, is a person/politician that is concerned with the greater good — not a fatter wallet — and then takes principled stands for the greater good…

  5. This is how I feel about all this ‘O’ type politics of today.

Sooo, How’s everyone been doing while I was away? I have missed it here. Been plugged into one of the local Tea Party organizations.
Lots to do there and is planned for June 27th to accomodate many from the other side of the mountains that wish to participate at the capital(Olympia, Wa) before the 4th. There are plenty of others planned in the area on the 4th.

  6. Good to have you back commenting, sweetp…That PF song is for the kook-aid drinkers…

  8. You’re right Gohawgs! I really enjoyed them both. I’ve seen them in concert more than once. In fact I saw them in ‘78 the weekend before I left for basic training.

  9. Sweetp,

I had a chance to see them when I lived in Dallas in the late 80’s, they were at Texas Stadium for 3 nites with a giant inflatible pink pig tethered out in the parking lot. I didn’t. Wish now that I had…

  10. Since the media trumpets his majesty as the consumate statesman, are we living the Night of the Living Dead?

  11. Also, in the meanwhile, another heroine, Angela Merkel, made the front-page news yesterday.
She stood up against almost every mainstream economist, politician, and central banker in the world – and gave them all hell (halfway down the page) - a very good read on political economics:

    .

“What other central banks have been doing must be reversed. I am very skeptical about the extent of the Fed’s actions and the way the Bank of England has carved its own little line in Europe,” she said at a conference in Berlin.

“Even the European Central Bank has somewhat bowed to international pressure with its purchase of covered bonds.

“We must return to independent and sensible monetary policies, otherwise we will be back to where we are now in 10 years’ time.”

    You go girl!

“This lady is currently the only person among all of our mighty and famous whom ordinary taxpayers in the western world can look to in order to hope for any protection of their interests,” says a letter writer to the Financial Times.

Of course, the professional economists and the earnest press all replied with the typical blah, blah, blah…

“Ms. Merkel’s intervention may be a political ploy and will probably come to nothing,” says the Financial Times editorial page. “But it is, nonetheless, harmful…”

    So there you have it.
It looks like moving to Germany or investing in the Deutsche Mark or German bonds wouldn’t be such a bad idea, because with Angela as Chancellor, they are going to have a sound economy.

    Who would’ve thunk?

    Germany!

Lord knows, we need more statesmen.

cpo, we have a statesman in Sarah Palin, who has more balls than most men I know!

  14. Au Contraire, mon ami. Sarah Palin isn’t a statesman. I would consider her more of a leader, something that The One(tm) can only pretend to be. Leaders lead, and others follow by the sheer force of the leader’s personality. Leaders get things done. Leaders produce tangible positive results. A true leader is one who surrounds him/herself with capable people, more capable, perhaps, than the leader. A leader is willing to listen, to take advice, if necessary, and to be strong in the face of opposition. The One(tm) surrounds himself with sycophants and toadys who are LESS capable than he is(hard to imagine) so that he can feel superior and stroke his massive ego. It would be hard to picture Obama as being strong in the face of opposition, since he’s doing everything he can to stifle it.

  15. Who would’ve thunk?

    Germany!
