The IRS is purchasing firearms.
The Internal Revenue Service (IRS) intends to purchase sixty Remington Model 870 Police RAMAC #24587 12 gauge pump-action shotguns for the Criminal Investigation Division. The Remington parkerized shotguns, with fourteen inch barrel, modified choke, Wilson Combat Ghost Ring rear sight and XS4 Contour Bead front sight, Knoxx Reduced Recoil Adjustable Stock, and Speedfeed ribbed black forend, are designated as the only shotguns authorized for IRS duty based on compatibility with IRS existing shotgun inventory, certified armorer and combat training and protocol, maintenance, and parts.
What gives?

Some of the people that the IRS goes after don’t particulary like the IRS…
That, or they are getting ready for Bastille Day…
I thought barrel length had to be 16″ to be legal…
Heh…I thought it was 18″. Buckle up, my friend. Looks like this is gonna be a bumpy ride.
38 DD
Yep, Manly…Minimum legal shotgun barrels are 18″, rifles are 16″…
Are they not the designated agency that will be in charge of enforcing the “health care package.” You know, that part where we get fined and sent to prison for not having insurance.
The government is always exempt from its own laws, especially this administration. If it’s okay to not pay their taxes, what’s a couple of inches on a shotgun barrel. Hmmmm, I wonder how this is going to effect pending ATF illegal firearm prosecution?
Law enforcement and the military are not bound by civil laws as to weapons. That is why you can’t own a 155mm howitzer but the Army and Marines can. A combat shotgun is a hell of a lot more nasty than your pigeon shooter,
You know, the revenuers have to go up against some really bad dudes, not just you, Manly, and Gohawgs. They used machineguns to defend against capone’s gang. They are going up against bloods, crips, M13s, mexican drug gangs, and even drug gangs in South America. Here in Oklahoma, they have had to go against some superpatriotic religious nuts on the Arkansas border - you know the ones that helped Tim McVeigh that were running a pretty extensive extortion racket. Some times those are best taken down by the IRS, It is possible they might even be called in to help take down terrorist organizations. I really wouldn’t want them looking for financial records in a mosque, unarmed.
If they come after ordinary Americans with combat shotguns, that will also be taken care of. Let’s see 60 shotguns vs 100 milllion other arms. I think I see a little noia here; infact it might be two noias. get it, wink wink nudge nudge
Come on folks! How can you ever in your wildest dreams think revenuers are going to shotgun people because they didn’t buy insurance. You act like they are working for AARP or Allstate.
They left out Moon Pies (chocolate, not that nasty yellow banana flavor). I wonder if the soda fountain had RC Cola?
