Murtha in the ICU

Rep. John Murtha is now in a Virginia hospital’s intensive care unit after unexpected complications from gallbladder surgery last week, his spokesman confirmed this morning.
Murtha, 77, had been suffering from gallbladder pain and problems in December and arranged to have the organ removed last week at Bethesda Naval Hospital. A spokesman for the Pennsylvania Democrat declined to discuss the seriousness of the situation that sent Murtha back to another hospital’s intensive care unit.
“Congressman Murtha underwent a scheduled laparoscopic surgery to remove his gallbladder last week,” his spokesman Matt Mazonkey said. “Complications did arise from the surgery and he is currently at the Virginia Hospital Center in Arlington.”
Patients who undergo gallbladder surgery can face significant tenderness and recovery issues, but serious complications are rare — occurring in as few as 0.6 to 2.2 percent of cases.
One potential complication related to the kind of surgery that Murtha underwent results from accidental cutting of the common bile ducts. These nicks can lead to bile backing up in the blood stream and serious infections.
Such nicks and accidental cuts are more common in laparascopic surgery, in which the surgeon relies on video imaging to “see” the patient’s gallbladder.
Murtha, as you might recall, was one of the corrupt politicos who almost - but not quite - accepted a bribe in the ABSCAM scandal back in the 70s. Murtha is the corrupt Democrat who funneled billions of dollars to defense contractors and an airport that nobody uses in his home state. Murtha was the Congressman who accused the Haditha Marines (who have since been acquitted) of committing murder in cold blood and has yet to apologize to any of them for his slander. Murtha voted in favor of every element of Obama’s socialist agenda, including the Porkulus, TARP II, Cap & Trade and ObamaCare.
It would be most unfortunate and certainly tragic - for his family - if Mr. Murtha’s condition worsens…if the complications overwhelm the medical artistry of his physicians and leave him either incapable of continuing in office or, perhaps even dead. That means his Republican opponent in the upcoming November election would win handily.
As with all things of this nature we must pray very hard.
I hope he gets MRSA and VRE, gets septic and goes ….. but you can’t kill crabgrass.
But I do pray for his family- they can’t help who he is.

I think John Murtha is a piece of shit. However, I had Gall bladder problems when laproscopy early in the laproscopy game. I had a severe attack on a Friday night. I have had many things happen to me. but the pain of that final attack was absolutely unbearable. I was ready for euthanasia. So I told The hospital emergency room doctors would wait until Monday to find out about my insurance. said they had to operate immediately. The bomber plant where I worked was closing down and I didn’t know whether I had insurance - stupid me. The doctors told me to schedule surgery for monday if I was still alive.
Please do not wish death on any American because of his/her political pursuasion. Death is kind of final. We all make stupid decisions in our lives, Pray for Murtha and maybe this experience will change him or cause his to retire. if there is any justice we generally should not have to die for our bad decisions. By the way, I found out later that my Father, and fraternal grand and great grand father died of this. That bullet that missed me is still traveling to hit you.
Oh, I forgot. I think we are supposed to love them that hate us. I guess your church doesn’t teach that.
Well, this is an interesting turn of events. Now if Murtha were a conservative, the libs would be overjoyed and hoping he would die. We all condemn the libs when they do that with one of our own. So we must hope that Murtha recovers from this illness. May it also affect his soul, and make his mind recover from his libtardness.
I’ve had medical professionals tell me that you can tell when somebody dies without their affairs in order because there is a tormented look on their face. May Murtha and all of you find His peace.

I don’t condemn those that think differently than I, I condemn him for being the corrupt, idiot and ass that he is.
I’m speaking from my heart- I’m sure God will question me about that when I see him…. that and a lot of other things.
Death is only final for those left on earth or if you don’t believe….Death is the beginning of eternal life, it is the end of the short time we have on earth. At least that’s how I see it…

KJ- you are correct, those that don’t believe or have their affairs in order usually die a much “harder” death. I have seen it myself several times. You can definately tell when one is not a peace with themselves, their faith or family when they are in the very last stage of life on this earth. It’s very sad and makes your heart heavy, and it’s very hard to watch.
